What a fantastic stay! I cannot say enough about what a great time we had at Stockghyll Cottage. Throughout the whole weekend, Adrian & Heather went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Not only did Adrian personally pick us up and drop us off at Windermere station, but he also suggested some great itineraries and must-see shops/restaurants nearby, and set us off on our days with maps and umbrellas in hand. The cottage itself is such a gem- a very quick walk to Bowness town center and not a far walk from Windermere as well, it was perfectly situated for exploring all that the lake district has to offer. The rooms were clean and inviting, and the breakfast was all you could ask for and more- from the delicious eggs and freshly baked bread, to the homemade treacle-flavored porridge on Sunday morning, everything was just perfect.
I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on future trips! Thanks again for a wonderful weekend, Kate & Floortje

Just a quick line to say thanks for a lovely stay last week. Thanks also to Adrian for rushing to the station with the Cartmel sticky toffee pudding inadvertantly left in the fridge.
