Bed and Breakfast Bowness, Stockghyll Cottage

Stockghyll Cottage bed and breakfast in Bowness on windermere is a fantastic place to stay in the beautiful Lake District. Also an ideal place to stay near lake windermere.

The pictures to the right show the enduring year-round beauty of this fantastic lakeland stone cottage surrounded by woods and yet less than half a mile level stroll from the bustling centre of Bowness on Windermere. On our doorstep are lovely woodland walks and lakeside paths to follow together with lots of Lakeside attractions.

We have three en-suite rooms to offer you. There are two double rooms with a Lake View,of which one has a king size bed, and a double with a view into the woods towards the waterfall at the side of the cottage. All guests get a scrummy breakfast.

  • Sorry but we do not take children under 10 years old.
  • We don't accept pets or other animals, as we have do not have sufficient room and facilities at the cottage.
  • We have private off-road parking in the drive-way and can offer storage for bikes, boats etc.
  • We are not licenced - but you are welcome to bring along your own wine/beer/spirits.

Heather & Adrian often bake lovely home made cakes for you to enjoy with afternoon tea, why not enjoy them in the garden by the stream on a lovely summers day.
